Sport Makers is a national Olympic legacy programme to support hundreds of thousands of new hours of grassroots sport across the country. You can help sport happen locally by volunteering at local events.

Has been granted the Inspire mark by the London 2012 Inspire programme. The London 2012 Inspire programme recognises innovative and exceptional projects that are directly inspired by the 2012 Olympic and Paralympic Games.
The aim of the star performer’s scheme is to highlight the ways in which young people can participate in sport as well as highlight the benefits they will receive from taking part in regular physical activity. The project shows clear links to the Olympic Games with an Olympic themed quiz that will encourage participants to research the history of previous Games. Participants are rewarded for sporting achievements in terms of progression as well as completing various sporting challenges set by the coach. Participants receive bronze, silver and gold certificates to mark their achievements similar to the medal system used in the Olympic Games. The scheme is also used to help promote the Olympic values; respect, excellence and friendship.

I am proud that with the help of partners such as Hart District Council, we are delivering our vision to use the power of the Olympic Games and Paralympic Games to boost participation in Hart.’
The scheme is free to anyone that signs up to a sports course at Hart or Frogmore Leisure Centre’s and courses available include Badminton, Squash, Gymnastics, Trampoling and Fencing. For more information contact reception.
We will be creating a giant wall constructed from individual paper bricks. Local residents and school children will be able to decorate their brick with drawings and poems with a sporting theme, including details of what the Olympics means to them.
